In Missouri there is a unique partnership between local citizens, business leaders and government that was born out of the concern to help improve the lives of Missouri’s children and families, it’s called FACT- Family and Community Trust.

FACT is a non-profit corporation that assists 20 well-respected community partnerships across the state. Each partnership works within their community to identify and develop solutions to overcome challenges such as…. homelessness, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, child abuse, after school care, dental care and many others.

The Family and Community Trust (FACT) celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2013.   FACT was established as an organization in November of 1993 by an Executive Order of the Governor.

The 20 Community Partnerships have generated 377,780 hours of volunteer service across the state of Missouri for the year. This amazing achievement speaks to their effectiveness to engage local communities in their work.

Board Announces 2013 Meeting Dates and New Co-Chair

The Board of Directors of FACT will meet on the following dates in 2013: March 7th & 8th, June 13th & 14th, September 19th & 20th and December 12th & 13th.   Board meetings are held in Columbia, Missouri.

Following their December meeting, the board elected Steve E. Renne as their new, private-sector co-chairman.  Mr. Renne succeeds Lowell C. Kruse who served in that capacity for the past 7 years.  Mr. Renne’s tenure begins January 1, 2013.
