The Family and Community Trust

The Family and Community Trust (FACT) was created by Governor Carnahan through Executive Order in 1993. It is a state level, public-private partnership that steers Missouri's strategic direction for change.  FACT's purpose is to change how communities and state government work together to improve results for families and children.

The board and staff are listed below.

The Family and Community Trust Board of Directors is composed of eight public members (directors of eight state agencies) and nine private members (leaders of Missouri business, higher education, philanthropy, and civic organizations). 

The Board of Directors adopted this Mission Statement in March of 2004: The mission of the Family and Community Trust Board is to promote and support effective public/private partnerships and community involvement to develop innovative solutions to achieve Missouri's vision for improving the lives of children and families.
